10 Deep for Altamont

The next collaborator of Altamont for Holiday 2009 is 10.Deep founder and creative director Scott Sasso. The outcome is a small capsule collection, consisting of a hoodie, shirt, t-shirts, cap and a scarf. The collection fuses the Altamont style with details that we learned to appreciate in the 10.Deep collection.
Taking cues from the namesake Altamont tragedy of 1969, Scott invokes the event and the era through motifs like a raceway checkerboard pattern, a bloody arm, psychedelic imagery and a reference to the infamous event security, or lack thereof. All these elements are incorporated with Scott’s signature 10.Deep attention to detailing and unique patterns to create a completely modern brand mash-up.

etnies Special-Edition Clothing and Shoes Will Benefit B4BC to Spread Breast Cancer Awareness:

Hate is a strong word, but etnies means it when it comes to the fight against breast cancer. Together etnies and Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC), a non-profit, youth-based breast cancer awareness organization, have teamed up for the fourth year to release a special-edition girl’s collection during October, National Breast Cancer Awareness month. Ashbridges Bay Grand Opening Recap

Despite some on and off battles with the weather things cleared up and were dry when they needed to be this past Saturday at the Ashbridges Bay Grand Opening. Ashbridges is Toronto's first skate plaza and first downtown skate park ever. This weekend marked the opening of Phase 1 of a potential 3 Phases. All the locals were out repping hard and scrambling for cash in the Best Trick contests. SBC has a great write up with some photos and video. Photo: Jarrett.

Atlas x eS Game Of S.K.A.T.E.

Just a little recap on the Game of S.K.A.T.E we organized in Joliette on September 26th, presented by éS and Alena in collaboration with Atlas Boardshop. It was a great day with many great games, but in the end it was all about the final match between Fred Bernier, P-L Loyer and J-P Grenier. P-L Loyer, floor manager at Atlas fighting for a big bag of goodies and 150 $. In the end, J-P Grenier, Atlas Rider and flow on éS came out as the big winner!Congratulations to J-P ! Big thanks to Dave and Reno at Atlas, éS and Alena for making it happen. Thanks to all the skaters for showing up! More pictures HERE.

Ashbridges Bay Grand Opening - This Saturday

This Saturday Oct. 3rd SBC and the City of Toronto present the official grand opening of the Ashbridges Bay skate park. This is an event years in the making, celebrating the first real concrete skate park in downtown Toronto. Things get underway at 12pm with an official opening ceremony followed by an AM Jam, $1,000 Best Trick Contest, and a massive product toss with lots of sweet Etnies gear. The Faction posse will be there with a booth set up so roll by and say what's up!
